Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 1493:
Sold for: $50
Description
This lot features a pair of semi-automatic pistol magazines manufactured by Sturm, Ruger and Co., specifically designed for the Ruger Mark series of pistols and chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Each magazine possesses a 10-round capacity within a blued steel body in a single-stack configuration. The design incorporates a round-head follower button on the side of the magazine body to facilitate ease of loading. The baseplates are constructed from durable black polymer, and each bears the distinctive factory mark consisting of a stylized eagle with the letters SR intertwined at the center. The steel bodies show signs of use consistent with age and handling, including thinning of the blued finish and scattered light surface oxidation. No serial numbers or additional caliber markings are visible on the exterior surfaces of these components.
Condition report:
The magazines are in good used condition. The blued finish on the steel bodies shows approximately 85 percent coverage with visible thinning and wear from being inserted into a firearm. There is scattered light surface oxidation and some very fine pitting present on both metal bodies. The black polymer baseplates are well-preserved with minor scuffs and clearly defined logos. The internal springs appear to maintain strong tension, and the follower buttons move freely throughout their range of travel. The feed lips appear to be in good alignment without significant wear or deformation.
