Lot 1536:

Description
This O.F. Mossberg & Sons Model 152 is a semi-automatic carbine chambered for .22 Long Rifle cartridges. The firearm features an 18-inch barrel and is stocked in a smooth wood stock that incorporates a distinctive hinged folding forend grip designed for improved stability. The receiver is fitted with a rear aperture peep sight, complemented by a hooded front sight at the muzzle. The rifle is configured with side-mounted sling swivels and a black serrated plastic buttplate. One detachable box magazine is included with the lot. Key markings on the barrel are transcribed verbatim as O.F. MOSSBERG & SONS, INC. NEW HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. MODEL 152 .22 LONG RIFLE ONLY. No serial number is visible on the receiver or barrel, which is typical for this model manufactured prior to the requirements of the 1968 Gun Control Act. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver exhibits thinning and surface wear throughout, with areas of light oxidation and a mottled patina. The wooden stock displays various light scratches, small indentations, and handling marks consistent with field use but remains structurally sound. The bore is bright with strong rifling visible. The semi-automatic action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The detachable magazine shows some external finish wear.
