Description
This is a Mossberg International Model 817 bolt action rimfire rifle chambered for .17 HMR caliber only. The firearm is equipped with a 21 inch blued barrel and a matching blued receiver, both of which are set into a smooth one piece hardwood stock. The stock is finished with a black composite butt plate secured by two screws. Mounted to the receiver is a TruGlo optic with matching mounting rings, both featuring a camouflage pattern finish. The optic utilizes a multi-line bullet drop compensation reticle. Key markings on the right side of the receiver include MOSSBERG INT’L 817 while the left side of the receiver bears the serial number HTB4358280. The right side of the barrel is stamped with IMPORTED BY MOSSBERG INTERNATIONAL, INC. NORTH HAVEN, CT and .17 HMR Caliber Only Made in Brazil by CBC Model 817. The left side of the barrel features a safety warning and the manufacturer address. Please note that the detachable magazine is not present with this lot and the magazine well is currently empty. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain nearly all of their original blued finish with only minor handling marks and faint scratches visible on the barrel and receiver. The hardwood stock is in good condition with some light dings and surface impressions consistent with moderate use but no visible cracks or structural damage. The bore has not been inspected. The bolt action appears to move smoothly and the trigger mechanism functions during dry fire, though the firearm has not been live fire tested. The optic shows some wear to the camo finish but the glass is clear and the reticle is sharp.
