Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of Hornady Superformance Varmint .17 Hornet ammunition, divided into four 25-round boxes. The collection includes three boxes of item #83004 featuring 15.5-grain NTX non-toxic expanding bullets with tan-colored polymer tips and one box of item #83005 containing 20-grain V-MAX bullets with red polymer tips. Each box contains a black plastic internal tray holding 25 cartridges. Markings on the boxes include Hornady Superformance Varmint, 17 Hornet 15.5 gr NTX #83004 with lot numbers 3150448 and 3151290, and 17 Hornet 20 gr V-MAX #83005 with lot number 3152818. Labels also state Made in the USA and provide ballistic data for muzzle velocity and trajectory out to 500 yards. The brass cases are rimmed and the bullets are seated with visible cannelures.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in original packaging, though the red foil-finish boxes show moderate shelf wear including creasing, edge rubbing, and some small tears. The brass cartridge cases exhibit visible surface oxidation and spotting throughout. The polymer tips remain intact and the cartridges appear to be live and functional, though we have not independently tested the ammunition.
