Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 215:
Description
This lot consists of nine semi-automatic pistol magazines manufactured by Glock in Austria, designed for use with .40 S&W caliber cartridges. These magazines are primarily intended for the Glock Model 23 compact pistol, though their varying lengths indicate compatibility with other models in the .40 caliber lineup, such as the Glock 22 and Glock 27. The magazine bodies are constructed from durable black polymer with internal steel reinforcement liners for structural integrity. The rear face of each magazine features witness holes for round counting, with specific markings for capacities up to 9 or 10 rounds, suggesting they are restricted capacity variants. Verbatim markings include the Glock logo and Austria on the baseplates and sides, the .40 caliber designation at the top rear, and numerical round indicators. One magazine retains a retailer label stating 02345 Glock 23 .40 with a crossed-out price of $499.00. The collection includes standard floor plates and one specimen fitted with a plus-style baseplate extension.
Condition report:
The magazines are in used condition, showing expected signs of handling and wear. The polymer bodies exhibit surface scuffing, minor scratches, and residual adhesive from previous inventory labels. The internal steel liners and springs appear functional, and the feed lips show no significant deformation or damage. The witness holes are clear and unobstructed. We have not function-tested these magazines under live-fire conditions.
