Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 27:
Description
This IWI Israeli manufactured semi-automatic rimfire rifle is a licensed recreation of the classic Uzi submachine gun produced by Carl Walther in Germany. The firearm is chambered for .22 LR and features a 16.1 inch barrel enclosed within a matte black faux-suppressor shroud. The receiver is constructed from stamped steel with a matte black finish and is equipped with a side-folding metal stock, a black polymer pistol grip, and a ribbed polymer handguard. Verbatim markings on the left side include MP UZI / CAL. .22L.R. HV, while the right side is marked US IMPORTER UMAREX USA FORT SMITH / AR and IWI – ISRAEL. A specific panel below the ejection port reads LICENSED TRADEMARK OF IWI ISRAEL / MADE BY CARL WALTHER GERMANY. The serial number W1009642 appears on the rear right of the receiver, the bolt face through the ejection port, and the underside of the receiver forward of the trigger guard. German proof marks consisting of DE, an eagle over N, a shielded crown, and the date code BD are clearly visible. A black nylon sling is attached to the factory left-side swivels. Please note that no magazine is included with this lot. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish is in good overall condition but shows moderate silvering and several scratches along the upper edges and corners of the stamped steel receiver. The polymer furniture is well-preserved with minor handling marks and no cracks. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
