Description
This lot consists of 144 rounds of 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition, specifically the M855 “Green Tip” 62-grain full metal jacket cartridges featuring a steel penetrator core. The ammunition is stored in two black plastic flip-top cases. Verbatim headstamp markings include the manufacturer code LC for the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, the NATO cross-in-circle symbol, and the number 13 designating a 2013 manufacture date. These brass-cased cartridges are configured for standard modern sporting rifles and military-pattern firearms chambered in 5.56mm. Condition report:
The ammunition is in live, functional condition. The brass cartridge cases show visible signs of oxidation and surface tarnishing consistent with age and typical storage. The green-painted bullet tips remain largely intact with minor instances of scuffing and light paint loss. No heavy corrosion, case neck splits, or recessed primers were observed during inspection.
