Description
This lot consists of twenty-five 12-gauge shotgun shells manufactured by Winchester under the Super-X product line, all measuring 2 3/4 inches in length. The collection is comprised of five individual boxes, each containing five shells. Four of the boxes contain 1-ounce rifled hollow point slugs, while the fifth box contains 00 buckshot with nine unplated pellets. The ammunition features red plastic hulls paired with brass-finished heads. The slug boxes are marked Winchester Super-X, 12 Ga. 2 3/4 In. Max. Dr. Eq. 1 Oz. Slug, Rifled Slugs Hollow Point, and 5 Shotgun Shells. The buckshot box is marked Winchester Super-X, 12 Ga. 2 3/4 In. 00 Buck (9 Pellets), Buckshot Loads Unplated Shot, and 5 Shotgun Shells. Visual inspection of the slug hulls reveals the characters Winchester, the Super X logo, and 1 Oz. printed on the plastic. One of the slug boxes retains a vintage yellow price sticker from Allied for 2.99 dollars.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, original condition. The red plastic hulls are intact with clear and legible markings. The brass-finished heads exhibit some light tarnish and surface oxidation consistent with age and storage. The cardboard boxes show varying degrees of shelf wear, including edge fraying, minor crushing, and light foxing or spotting. All shells appear to be live factory loads and the contents are consistent with the packaging descriptions.
