Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 341:
Sold for: $25
Description
This Daisy No. 101 Model 36 is a vintage single-shot lever-action air rifle produced by the Daisy Manufacturing Company. The item features a stamped blued steel frame and barrel assembly mated to a solid wood stock. It is equipped with a fixed blade front sight and a fixed rear sight. The lever-action mechanism and trigger are integrated into the steel receiver and secured with hex nuts and screws. The top of the barrel contains stamped markings that read: DAISY, NO 101 MODEL 36, SINGLE SHOT, DAISY MFG. CO., PLYMOUTH, MICH. U.S.A., PATS. 880,555 – 1,062,855.
Condition report:
The air rifle exhibits wear and aging across all surfaces. The blued finish on the metal barrel and receiver shows thinning, widespread surface scratching, and areas of light oxidation and pitting. The wooden stock remains structurally intact but displays numerous scuffs, deep scratches, and finish loss consistent with significant use. The lever-action mechanism appears mechanically functional, though the rifle has not been tested for firing or air compression and is sold as a collectible item. An auction lot tag is attached to the lever with string. No original packaging is present.
