Lot 346:
A Lot of 80 Rounds of Winchester and Federal .300 Savage Ammunition
Sold for: $150
Description
This lot consists of 80 rounds of .300 Savage centerfire rifle ammunition, divided among four commercial boxes. The collection includes three boxes of Winchester Super-X featuring 150-grain Power-Point soft point bullets and one box of Federal Classic containing 150-grain Hi-Shok soft point bullets. The Winchester ammunition is housed in gray cardboard boxes with styrofoam inserts, while the Federal ammunition is contained in a white and blue box with red plastic carriers. Key markings on the Winchester packaging include the brand designation and the product code X3001, with individual cartridges bearing the headstamp W-W SUPER 300 SAV. The Federal box is marked with the product code 300A, and its cartridges are headstamped F C 300 SAV. This factory-loaded ammunition is intended for use in rifles chambered for the .300 Savage cartridge, a popular choice for medium-sized game hunting.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including corner fraying, edge compression, and surface scuffing, particularly notable on the Federal box. The brass cartridge cases exhibit a natural aged patina with some areas of minor surface tarnish and light oxidation typical of older factory ammunition. The lead bullet tips appear intact without significant deformation. The primers are seated correctly and show no signs of firing or tampering. All ammunition appears to be in serviceable condition, though it is sold as-is for collection or components.
