Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 375:
Sold for: $300
Description
This is a modified Soviet Model 1891/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x54mmR, currently configured as a precision scout-style rifle. The firearm features a 28.7-inch barrel with a blued finish and retains the original hooded post front sight. The round receiver is marked with the Izhevsk arsenal symbol of a triangle containing an arrow, the manufacturing date 1943г, and a MADE IN USSR import mark. The bolt handle is stamped with the serial number 194174. The rifle has been fitted into a tan polymer Archangel precision stock which provides an adjustable cheek riser, adjustable length of pull, and a textured grip. It utilizes a detachable black polymer magazine. The rear sight leaf has been removed and replaced with a long Picatinny rail system that holds a 2-7×32 scout-style scope with a duplex reticle. An adjustable folding bipod is mounted to the front of the stock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a thinned and worn blued finish with significant areas of surface oxidation and pitting visible on the receiver and barrel. The bore is not inspected but likely shows wear consistent with military surplus firearms of this era. The action appears to function correctly when cycled, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The Archangel stock is in good condition with only minor handling marks and superficial scuffs. The optic is clear with a functional reticle, and the bipod remains sturdy.
