Description
A Winchester Model 70 bolt-action rifle chambered in .264 Winchester Magnum. This sporting rifle features a blued barrel equipped with a ramped front sight and a folding leaf adjustable rear sight. The receiver displays a matching blued finish and houses an engine-turned bolt. The rifle is fitted with a checkered walnut stock featuring a Monte Carlo comb, a raised cheekpiece, and a factory-branded red rubber recoil pad. Sling swivel studs are mounted to the forearm and buttstock. Prominent markings include the barrel designation -MADE IN U.S.A.-, -WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-, and -WINCHESTER® MODEL—70 264 WIN. MAGNUM-. The left side of the receiver is stamped WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK-, and the right side of the receiver ring bears the serial number 731360X. Definitive WP proof marks within ovals are stamped on the top of both the barrel and the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their original factory bluing, with minor handling wear and a few faint scratches visible on the barrel and receiver. The jeweled finish on the bolt remains clean with typical wear from cycling. The wood stock is in fair to good condition, showing numerous scratches, dings, and impressions in the finish throughout, particularly on the buttstock. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested. The red rubber recoil pad remains intact with some surface hardening and minor wear consistent with age.
