Lot 543:
Yildiz TS 870 Over-Under Shotgun 12 Gauge with 28 Inch Barrels 2009
Sold for: $375
Description
This Yildiz TS 870 over-under shotgun is chambered for 12-gauge 3-inch magnum shells and is intended for field use and clay sports. It features 28-inch blued barrels with a ventilated top rib and a single brass bead sight, equipped with a set of screw-in interchangeable choke tubes. The silver-finished receiver is decorated with light scrollwork and a duck hunting scene on the side plates. Verbatim markings on the upper barrel include YILDIZ SILAH SANAYII BURDUR/TURKIYE, NBD TS 870 12/3″ MAGNUM, and the importer mark ACADEMY, LTD. KATY, TEXAS 2009. The manufacturer name YILDIZ is engraved on the bottom and sides of the receiver, and the serial number C 65072 is clearly stamped on the top tang beneath the break lever. The firearm is fitted with a checkered Turkish walnut stock and forend featuring standard point checkering. The stock is capped with an aftermarket black rubber LimbSaver recoil pad. The action appears to function correctly with a tight lockup, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The barrels retain approximately 95% of their original blued finish with only minor handling marks and light wear at the muzzles. The silver-toned receiver remains bright with some very light surface staining near the knuckle. The bores are bright and smooth with no evidence of pitting or corrosion. The wood furniture is in good condition with scattered dings and light scratches consistent with field use; the checkering remains well-defined. The aftermarket LimbSaver recoil pad shows significant wear and surface deterioration, with debris caught in the textured ridges. The action functions smoothly, and the safety and trigger reset appear to operate as intended.
