Sold for: $70
Description
This lot consists of a total of 101 remanufactured .270 Winchester centerfire rifle cartridges organized within two plastic ammunition storage cases. The green MTM Molded Products Company case contains 51 rounds, comprising approximately 35 cartridges with red polymer-tipped spitzer bullets and 15 rounds with open-tip bullets, including one nickel-plated cartridge lying horizontally across the others. The red plastic case contains 50 rounds, featuring copper-jacketed open-tip spitzer projectiles, with one brass-cased round lying horizontally on top. Transcribed markings from the green case lid include THE MTM MOLDED PRODUCTS COMPANY 3370 Obco Court Dayton, Ohio 45413 along with a handwritten reloading label featuring entries such as 30-06 45/70 GOVT, CAL 45/70, 250 RNFP LEAD, and COPPER PLATED, though the cartridges currently provided are identified as remanufactured .270 Win caliber ammunition. The cartridges feature predominantly brass cases with various projectile styles suitable for hunting or target shooting applications.
Condition report:
The ammunition and cases appear to be in good overall condition. The brass and nickel-plated cases exhibit a clean, bright finish with no significant signs of corrosion or heavy tarnish. The projectiles are securely seated and show no significant oxidation. The plastic storage boxes are fully functional with intact hinges and secure latches, although the green box shows minor surface scuffs and remains of an adhesive label. These are remanufactured loads and are sold as appearing to be live ammunition.
