Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 67:
Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of .30 Carbine ammunition, a cartridge type originally developed for use in the M1 Carbine during World War II. The cartridges feature brass cases and copper-jacketed round-nose bullets. Verbatim markings observed on the headstamp of the cartridges include LC and 44, signifying manufacture at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 1944. The ammunition is organized within two clear plastic 50-round storage cases. These cartridges represent standard military-issue ammunition consistent with US ordnance production from the latter half of the Second World War.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good original condition, exhibiting moderate age-related tarnish and surface oxidation on both the brass cases and the copper-jacketed projectiles. The cartridge cases appear structurally sound with no evidence of heavy corrosion or mechanical damage. The primers remain in place and appear undisturbed. This ammunition is offered as a collectible item in its current state, and no guarantee is made regarding its functional reliability or ballistics.
