Description

This lot features one Marlin Model 99 M1 semi-automatic rifle, a rimfire carbine designed to mimic the appearance of the military M1 Carbine. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the firearm is fitted with an 18-inch barrel and displays a blued finish on the barrel and receiver. The furniture consists of a two-piece walnut-finished birch stock and handguard, joined by a black metal barrel band, and includes integrated sling swivels and a checkered buttplate marked with the Marlin name. A signature gold-toned trigger is set within the trigger guard. The rifle is equipped with a vintage Weaver C6 fixed-power scope mounted to the receiver rail, which is marked WEAVER C6 EL PASO, TEX. U.S.A. and maintains a clear crosshair reticle. Verbatim barrel markings include The Marlin Firearms Co. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. and MODEL 99 M1-CAL. .22 L.R. Consistent with its pre-1968 production, this firearm has no serial number (NSN). Please note that the detachable box magazine is missing from this lot. The rifle is accompanied by a black plastic protective hard case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The original blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains mostly intact with some light thinning and minor handling marks. The bore has not been inspected and its condition cannot be verified. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The wood stock is structurally sound but shows cosmetic wear in the form of scattered light-colored spots or blemishes in the finish across the buttstock and forend. The Weaver optic remains clear with no signs of internal fogging.
