Lot 125:
US Military M2 Bipod for M14 Rifle
Sold for: $110
Description
A US military M2 bipod, primarily designed for use with the 7.62mm M14 rifle. This single accessory is constructed from stamped steel with a dark protective finish. The unit features two folding legs with longitudinal strengthening ribs for structural integrity, terminating in flat, rectangular feet intended for stability. The top of the bipod is equipped with a spring-loaded, quick-detach clamping mechanism specifically designed to mount to the gas cylinder of an M14 rifle. One leg includes an integrated clip used to secure the other leg while in the folded transport configuration. No manufacturer marks, contract numbers, or ordnance stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition. It retains a high percentage of its original dark finish, showing signs of minor thinning and surface scuffing consistent with military use. The mechanical components, including the spring-loaded clamp and the folding leg mechanisms, appear to be fully functional. No significant corrosion or structural damage is observed.
