Description

This lot consists of 193 rounds of .30 Carbine ammunition, a caliber originally designed for the M1 Carbine. The collection is presented in four retail cardboard boxes: two Remington boxes and two American Eagle boxes by the Federal Cartridge Company. The Remington packaging includes one High Velocity box and one Express Rifle box, both originally designated for 110-grain soft point projectiles. The American Eagle packaging is labeled for 110-grain metal case full metal jacket projectiles. Visual inspection of the ammunition reveals a mix of manufacturers regardless of the box labels. Headstamp markings transcribed from the brass cases include R-P .30 CARB for Remington-Peters, AGUILA 30 CAR for Aguila, and W-W 30 CARB for Winchester-Western. The cartridges feature a variety of projectile types, primarily consisting of round-nose copper-jacketed bullets and lead-tipped soft point bullets. This lot represents a diverse assortment of commercial .30 Carbine cartridges suitable for target use or general shooting.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in functional condition with no significant signs of corrosion or case deformation. The brass cases exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnish and light oxidation consistent with age and long-term storage in retail packaging. All primers appear to be original and correctly seated. The projectiles are securely crimped. The cardboard boxes show heavy shelf wear, including corner rounding, tears, surface scuffs, and handwritten pricing on the exterior surfaces. The internal plastic trays are intact and hold the cartridges securely.
