Description

This lot consists of 80 rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition chambered in 7.65×53 Argentine. The ammunition is contained within four original Prvi Partizan cardboard boxes, each originally designated to hold 20 cartridges. While the packaging indicates the contents are SP BT 11,7 g soft point boat tail rounds, visual inspection of the cartridges reveals they are military surplus with full metal jacket projectiles and purple primer sealant. Verbatim markings on the boxes include prvi partizan AMMUNITION and 7,65 x 53 Argentine along with 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges. Internal inspection of the cartridges reveals headstamps with the transcribed markings 7,65 x 54, SF, and 54, identifying them as manufacture from the Societe Francaise de Munitions dated 1954. The brass cases show visible surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with long-term storage of vintage surplus. The discrepancy between the commercial box labeling and the military-marked internal contents suggests these boxes were repurposed to hold surplus stock.

Condition report:

The four cardboard boxes show significant shelf wear including scuffed corners, edge fraying, and minor tearing. The ammunition cartridges exhibit visible surface tarnish and oxidation on the brass cases. The bullets are full metal jacket types, contrary to the soft point label on the boxes. The primers show intact purple sealant. The ammunition appears live and original, though we have not function-tested these vintage cartridges and they are sold as-is.
