Description
This Norinco SKS is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, designed for military-style utility with a traditional wood stock and integrated features. It is equipped with a 20-inch barrel that includes an attached folding spike-style bayonet and an under-barrel cleaning rod. The firearm features a blued finish on the receiver and barrel with a polished steel bolt carrier. The furniture consists of a one-piece wooden stock with a smooth finish and a straight comb, terminating in a steel trapdoor buttplate for a cleaning kit. Sighting is provided by a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight graduated from 1 to 10 with the Cyrillic character П at the battle setting. The rifle includes an attached olive-drab canvas sling with leather tabs. Key markings include the serial number 1204823D and an import stamp reading SKS 7.62X39 NORINCO CHINA POLY U.S.A. ATL GA on the left side of the receiver. Matching partial serial numbers 04823 are visible on the bolt carrier, the rear of the receiver cover, the rear sight base, the trigger guard, and the floorplate of the fixed 10-round magazine, with the same number stamped into the stock. Condition report:
The blued finish on the receiver and barrel is in good condition, showing only minor thinning at the edges and a few light handling marks. The polished bolt carrier remains bright and clean. The wooden stock is structurally sound with several scattered dings, shallow scratches, and small compressions consistent with standard use and storage. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no signs of significant wear. The action appears to function correctly and smoothly, although the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The canvas sling and leather components are intact and pliable.
