Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of remanufactured .30 Herrett centerfire rifle ammunition, contained within two blue plastic MTM Case-Gard storage boxes. The ammunition is a wildcat cartridge typically formed by shortening and necking down .30-30 Winchester brass. The collection features a variety of headstamps including R-P 30-30 WIN, WINCHESTER 30-30 WIN, W-W 30-30 WIN, SUPER SPEED 30-30 WIN, and HORNADY 30-30 WIN. Handwritten labels inside the lids provide loading data: one box is marked for 110 grain bullets over H-110 powder, while the other is marked for 93 grain bullets over H-110 powder. Although the labels designate the projectiles as Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), visual inspection reveals they are jacketed soft point (JSP) bullets with exposed lead tips. One cartridge in the collection features a black marker band near the rim. The rounds utilize a variety of primer types with both nickel and brass finishes.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good overall condition. The brass cases show light surface tarnishing and minor wear consistent with the reforming process. The projectiles are clean and firmly seated. The ammunition appears live, though as hand-loaded remanufactured cartridges, they have not been function-tested. The blue plastic storage cases show minor exterior scuffs but remain fully functional.
