Description
This Thompson/Center Arms Contender is a single-shot break-action pistol chambered in .32 H&R Magnum, configured for precision target shooting or hunting. The firearm features a 10-inch blued barrel equipped with a Weaver scope featuring a duplex reticle, while also retaining its original ramped front and adjustable rear iron sights. The blued receiver is decorated with scrollwork and circular medallions on both sides depicting a cougar. The pistol is fitted with a smooth, dark wood target grip with finger grooves and a checkered wood forend. Key markings include the barrel stamps “THOMPSON : CENTER ARMS,” “ROCHESTER, N. H.,” and “32 H&R MAG.” The serial number 24074 is visible on the upper tang of the frame, and a circular metal medallion bearing an intertwined “TC” logo is inset into the base of the grip. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good overall condition, with the blued finish on the barrel and receiver showing only light handling marks and minor surface wear. The wood furniture displays some small scattered dings and light scratches consistent with careful use. The bore appears bright with sharp rifling, and the break-action mechanism appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm. The Weaver scope optics are clear, and the duplex reticle is crisp.
