Description
This is an Interarms Mark X bolt action rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, built on a robust Mauser-style action for sporting use. The rifle features a 24 inch tapered barrel with a high-polish blued finish and is mounted in a custom-style walnut thumbhole stock. The stock is appointed with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, a dark wood forend tip with a white line spacer, and a contrasting diamond-shaped wood inlay on both sides of the forend. Key markings include the model designation – MARK X – and the manufacturer and importer stamp ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA INTERARMS MANCHESTER ENGLAND on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is engraved Cal. 7mm Rem. Mag. on the left side. The serial number B 240266 is stamped on the right side of the receiver along with several European proof marks. The rifle is equipped with a Leupold Vari-X II 3x9mm scope on a one-piece mount and features branded characters C and R on the underside of the forend. The stock is fitted with a black rubber Pachmayr recoil pad and a brown canvas sling with quick-detach swivels. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good condition, retaining a high percentage of its deep polished blued finish with only minor thinning at the muzzle and a few light handling marks on the receiver. The custom walnut stock is attractive and well-maintained, showing minor surface compressions and faint scratches consistent with light field use. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The bolt action cycles smoothly and locks up tight. The Leupold optics are clear with a crisp duplex reticle, though the scope body shows some minor external finish wear. The canvas sling and Pachmayr recoil pad are in good serviceable condition.
