Description
This lot consists of two US Morgan silver dollars dated 1882 and 1904. Both coins are composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. Each features the George T. Morgan obverse and reverse designs. Inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM on the obverse and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR on the reverse. No mint marks are present above the DOLLAR inscription, indicating production at the Philadelphia Mint. The 1904 specimen displays a prominent horizontal seam running along the circumference of its reeded edge.
Condition report:
Both coins are in fine circulated condition. The 1882 specimen shows moderate wear on the high points of the design and silver-gray surfaces. The 1904 specimen exhibits heavy dark toning in the fields and lettering, as well as multiple scratches on the obverse. The horizontal seam on the 1904 edge indicates it is an altered or modified specimen.
