Description
This lot comprises a collection of seven vintage green cardboard boxes of Remington Kleanbore centerfire ammunition, primarily chambered in .222 Remington with a single box for .222 Remington Magnum. The grouping includes 90 live rounds and 20 empty brass casings distributed across the various boxes. Labeling on the packaging identifies five boxes for .222 Remington with 50-grain soft point Hi-Speed loads, one box for .222 Remington with 50-grain metal cased Hi-Speed loads, and one box for .222 Remington Magnum with 55-grain soft point Hi-Speed loads. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Remington Kleanbore, 222 Remington, Hi-Speed, 20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges, and the DuPont logo. Verification of the contents reveals a variety of headstamps, including REM-UMC 222 REM, SUPER-X 222 REM, SUPER SPEED 222 REM, F C 222 REM, and REM 222 REM. Condition report:
The original cardboard boxes display significant age-related wear, characterized by scuffing, frayed edges, structural softening, and handwritten ink notations. Primers show varying finishes, and several empty brass cases are present with spent primer pockets. The live rounds appear physically intact for display purposes, though their functional reliability and ballistic performance have not been tested.
