Description
This lot consists of 300 rounds of remanufactured .22 Remington Jet centerfire ammunition, a high-velocity bottlenecked cartridge originally designed for the Smith and Wesson Model 53 revolver. The ammunition is housed within six plastic storage cases, including three blue Berry’s Mfg. boxes and three translucent white boxes. The cartridges feature brass cases loaded with a variety of jacketed soft-point and hollow-point projectiles. Visible headstamps on the brass include R-P .22 REM JET and R-P .22 REM JET MAG, identifying the parent brass as Remington-Peters production. Several handwritten notations are present on the box lids, including FACTORY .22 JET, REM JET, and FROM .357 .22/JET, suggesting that a portion of the lot may have been custom-formed from .357 Magnum brass. One visible cartridge in a blue box is headstamped .357 MAGNUM, corroborating the conversion notes. This group provides a substantial quantity of a specialized and increasingly difficult-to-find caliber.
Condition report:
The ammunition displays a varied physical condition across the six boxes. Many cartridges appear clean with bright brass cases, while a significant number show surface oxidation, tarnish, and verdigris consistent with age and long-term storage. The primers appear to be live and properly seated. The plastic storage boxes are in good functional condition with some light scuffing and permanent marker notations on the lids. As these are remanufactured rounds of mixed origin, they are sold as-is and have not been function-tested.
