The ammunition is housed in a green Remington Kleanbore box for 215-grain soft point bullets, a yellow and blue Dominion box for 180-grain Sabre-Tip cartridges, and a green Remington High Velocity box bearing a handwritten label for 18 Rds ‘Incendiary’ Rds. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Remington KLEANBORE 303 BRITISH Express 215 GRAIN SOFT POINT BULLET, and DOMINION CENTRE FIRE CARTRIDGES 303 BRITISH 180 GR. ST SABRE TIP. Detailed headstamp transcriptions across the lot include P T 41, 303MK8Z PP-73 signifying 1973 manufacture by Prvi Partizan, W-W SUPER 303 BRITISH, R-P 303 BRITISH, F C 303 BRITISH, and P S 303 BRITISH. The collection provides a varied cross-section of mid-20th century commercial and military surplus centerfire ammunition.
Condition report:
The vintage cardboard boxes show significant shelf wear, including frayed edges, small tears, and surface discoloration consistent with long-term storage. The brass cartridge cases exhibit varying degrees of oxidation and a natural aged patina. Projectiles show minor surface tarnishing, and the blue-painted tips on the incendiary rounds display some light flaking and wear. The 22 brass casings feature struck primers, while the 38 live rounds appear structurally sound but are sold as collector items; we have not function-tested this ammunition.
