Description
This is a single Browning BAR Mark II Safari semi-automatic rifle chambered in .270 Win. The rifle features a high-polished blued barrel and a steel receiver adorned with decorative scrollwork engraving on both sides along with the SAFARI model name. The rifle is equipped with a Leupold one-piece scope base and matching rings, a gold-plated trigger, and a black nylon Browning-branded sling. The furniture consists of a high-gloss finished walnut stock and forearm with fine checkering on the contact surfaces. The buttstock is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad embossed with the Browning logo. Key markings on the right side of the receiver include the model name SAFARI and the serial number 311MM15528. The barrel markings on the left side specify BAR CALIBER .270 Win. ONLY and BROWNING S.A. while the right side indicates BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. and MADE IN BELGIUM — ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL. Belgian proof marks are present on the barrel and receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a deep, mirror-like blue finish with virtually no visible wear or thinning. The bore is bright and clean with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to cycle smoothly and function correctly, though it has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The gloss-finished walnut stock is in excellent condition, showing only one minor surface scratch on the right side of the buttstock, and the checkering remains sharp and unmarred. The black rubber recoil pad is supple and intact.
