Lot 185:
RCBS Full Length Two-Die Set .300 Weatherby Magnum
Sold for: $35
Description
This lot features a cased pair of RCBS reloading dies chambered for the .300 Weatherby Magnum cartridge. The set consists of a full-length sizer die and a bullet seater die, both constructed with knurled steel bodies and standard 7/8-14 threads for compatibility with most reloading presses. The dies are fitted with knurled silver-tone lock rings utilizing set screws for depth adjustment. Verbatim markings on the factory case label identify the set as RCBS OMARK INDUSTRIES, GROUP A, PART # 15201, and specify USE SHELL HOLDER # 4 with the description FL DIE SET 300 WEATHERBY MAG. The dies are housed in their original green Omark Industries-era plastic case, which includes a handwritten reloading data card affixed to the interior lid documenting loads using Weatherby cases, Federal 215 primers, Hodgdon 4831 powder, and 150-grain Nosler bullets. Note that the shell holder is not included with this set.
Condition report:
The dies are in good functional condition, displaying a light surface patina and minor oxidation consistent with age and previous use, particularly within the knurled areas. The threading remains sharp and free of cross-threading. The sizer die includes its decapping rod assembly, and the seater die appears complete. The exterior plastic case is structurally intact with a functioning hinge, though the paper identification label exhibits significant staining, discoloration, and foxing.
