Description
This Ruger Mark III Target is a semi-automatic rimfire pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, specifically configured for target shooting with a blued steel finish on its receiver and heavy bull barrel. The firearm is equipped with an adjustable rear target sight, a fixed front blade sight, and a top-mounted Picatinny-style rail for optics. The grips are black checkered synthetic panels featuring red Ruger medallions. Verbatim markings on the receiver include RUGER, .22 CAL. LONG RIFLE, and -MARK III TARGET-, along with a LOADED CHAMBER INDICATOR. The serial number 271-46565 is clearly stamped on the right side of the receiver. The underside of the barrel is marked with the manufacturer’s instruction: BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM: STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CT. U.S.A. One detachable box magazine accompanies the pistol. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good physical condition. The blued finish remains strong across the receiver and barrel, with minor cosmetic scratches and finish loss noted on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle. The bore is bright and shows well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The synthetic grips are well-preserved with sharp checkering and intact medallions.
