Key markings include the gold-filled inscription 1863 WEST VIRGINIA CENTENNIAL MODEL 1963 on the left side of the barrel, and COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 on the right side. The top of the barrel is marked COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. while the left side of the frame bears the patent dates PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871. / JULY 2, 72. JAN. 19, 75. followed by the Rampant Colt logo. The serial number 345 WVC is stamped on the underside of the frame. This revolver is accompanied by a tan zippered soft case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent, brand-new condition, showing no evidence of a cylinder turn line, which suggests it is unfired. The high-polish blued finish is deep and consistent throughout. The gold plating is bright and largely intact, though minor surface scuffs are visible on the backstrap. The bore is bright and appears unused. The action is crisp and tight with four distinct hammer clicks. The faux-pearl grips are pristine with no chips or cracks. The zippered case shows light external handling wear but remains fully functional.
