Sold for: $40
Description
This lot features one 222-round cardboard box of Winchester Super-X Limited Edition .22 Long Rifle ammunition along with a Cabela’s branded wooden storage box. The ammunition is loaded with 40-grain copper-plated hollow-point bullets, designated as Power-Point, and is rated for a muzzle velocity of 1,280 FPS. The yellow cardboard packaging includes the Super-X branding and illustrations of a squirrel and a rabbit. Verification of the contents shows brass-cased cartridges with W and M headstamps. Prominent markings on the cardboard include Limited Winchester Edition, Super X, 22 LR, 40 Gr. 1280 FPS, 222 Rounds, Power-Point, and Made in USA. The included wooden storage box is constructed with finger-jointed corners and a brass-tone latch. The front of the box is marked with the Cabela’s logo, while the lid features the Winchester rider logo and is marked Winchester Ammunition 22 Win Mag. Note that there is a caliber discrepancy between the wooden box lid marking and the .22 LR ammunition contained in the lot.
Condition report:
The cardboard ammunition box is in good condition showing minor shelf wear and light fraying at the corners. The ammunition cartridges appear live and display varying degrees of natural tarnish to the brass cases. The wooden box is in good condition with the latch functioning correctly; the exterior shows light surface scratches and minor indentations consistent with shelf storage.
