Description
This Remington Gallery Special gift pack is presented in a rectangular green metal collectible tin and includes a total of 400 rounds of Remington Golden Bullet .22 Long Rifle high-velocity ammunition and one deck of shooting gallery themed playing cards. The ammunition is organized into eight individual green paper boxes, each containing 50 rimfire cartridges. The tin features a hinged lid with a vintage-style illustration of a man teaching a boy to shoot a rifle, mirroring a classic Remington store sign, and includes the slogans Teach Them to Shoot and Remington UMC. Verbatim markings on the tin identify it as a Gallery Special and World’s Standard Firearms and Ammunition, with the bottom specifying 22 Ammunition & Playing Cards Gift Collectible Tin Set and 400 Rounds 1522 High-Velocity Golden Bullet. The playing cards are factory-sealed in red packaging and are printed with authentic gallery target images from the 1880s. Key markings on the individual ammunition boxes include Remington 22 High Velocity 50 Rim Fire Cartridges and Warning: Keep Out of Reach of Children. The cartridges feature brass casings with Rem headstamps and lead bullets. Condition report:
The collectible tin is in good overall condition, showing minor surface wear including light scratches and small spots of oxidation and surface rust along the edges and on the underside. The interior of the tin remains clean. The eight individual paper boxes show very little shelf wear and remain crisp. The deck of playing cards is unopened in its original plastic wrap. The ammunition cartridges appear well-preserved, with the brass casings exhibiting natural light tarnish and the lead bullets being firmly seated. The ammunition appears to be live and functional.
