Description

This lot consists of 22 rounds of vintage .30-06 Springfield rifle ammunition presented in two partial period boxes. The first container is a Peters High Velocity 20-round box for .30-06 Springfield cartridges featuring 180-grain Inner-Belted hollow point bullets; headstamps on these cartridges are transcribed as PETERS and 30G1906. The second container is a Remington UMC Kleanbore box for .30 Springfield cartridges featuring 220-grain soft point bullets and the red and white Remington UMC dog bone logo. Headstamps for this group are transcribed verbatim as REM-UMC and 30-06. Both groups of cartridges feature brass cases and copper-jacketed bullets, all exhibiting a natural aged patina and minor surface oxidation. The cardboard boxes show moderate edge wear, surface scuffing, and minor creasing consistent with vintage sporting ammunition.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears live and is sold as collectible vintage stock. The brass cases show a varied natural patina and some darkening from age, but remain free of heavy corrosion. The copper-jacketed bullets exhibit similar minor oxidation. The paperboard boxes show typical signs of age, including frayed edges, small tears at the end flaps, and light shelf scuffing.
