Description
This Winchester Model 1400 MK II is a semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and designed for versatile field use. It features a 28-inch blued steel barrel equipped with the Winchoke internal choke system and a single bead front sight. The receiver is finished in a matching blue and houses an engine-turned, or jeweled, bolt assembly. The furniture consists of a checkered wood stock and forend, providing a textured grip, and is completed with a black plastic buttplate embossed with the Winchester Repeating Arms logo. Key markings include the model designation MODEL 1400 MK II and the serial number N740740 on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify WINCHESTER ® MODEL 1400 — 12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAM. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL and include the WINCHOKE trademark. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces exhibit a blued finish with significant areas of surface rust and pitting on the barrel, particularly concentrated toward the muzzle and near the receiver. The receiver shows light scratches and some minor oxidation, and the bolt face displays patches of surface rust. The bore is bright. The checkered wood stock and forend show minor handling marks and light wear to the finish. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested.
