Description
This lot consists of 100 rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition produced by the Federal Cartridge Company under the American Eagle brand. The ammunition is 7.62 x 39mm Soviet caliber, featuring a 124-grain metal case bullet. The cartridges are constructed with reloadable brass cases and are organized within original red plastic trays embossed with the manufacturer name Federal. Key markings on the packaging include American Eagle, 20 Rifle Cartridges, 20 Cartouches, and the load specification 7.62 x 39mm Soviet, 124 Gr. Metal Case Bullet, No. A76239A. Verbatim cartridge headstamps are transcribed as F C at the 12 o’clock position and 7.62 x 39 at the 6 o’clock position. The five original paper boxes exhibit vintage retail price stickers from Sportsmen’s Supply with a California area code of (408).
Condition report:
The ammunition and brass components appear to be in good, clean condition with no visible signs of corrosion or oxidation on the cases or the copper-jacketed bullets. The five individual paper boxes show light shelf wear consistent with age, including minor scuffing and edge fraying, but they remain intact and structural. The ammunition appears live and has been well-preserved in its original packaging.
