Description
This Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and features a barrel marked STAINLESS STEEL that has been blackened to match the blued receiver. The rifle is mounted in a checkered wood stock with a gloss finish, a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and a black textured recoil pad marked Remington. It is equipped with a Nikon Prostaff 5 4.5-18×40 optic with a duplex reticle and includes Nikon branded lens covers. While a front sight ramp is present, the rear iron sight leaf and elevator are missing from the barrel mounted base. Visible markings on the left side of the receiver include Remington MODEL 700 and the serial number 180827. The barrel is roll marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. followed by patent numbers 2,473,373, 2,514,981, and 2,585,195, the caliber 7MM REM. MAG., and the material designation STAINLESS STEEL. A REP proof mark in a circle is stamped on the right side of the barrel at the breech. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal finish is well preserved overall, showing minor thinning on the bolt handle and slight silvering on the edges of the trigger guard and receiver. The blackened finish on the barrel remains strong with only light handling marks. The wood stock exhibits several visible scratches and small dings primarily on the buttstock and forend area, though the checkering remains sharp and defined. The action cycles smoothly and appears to function correctly, although the rifle has not been test fired. The optics are clear, and the scope adjustment turrets are functional.
