Description
This single-shot break-action shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge and features a 30 inch barrel with a choke-bored muzzle. The firearm is equipped with an external hammer and a single trigger mechanism. The metal surfaces have aged to a dark brownish patina with visible surface oxidation and thinning to the original bluing. Key markings include the manufacturer designation MASS ARMS CO. over CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. on the left side of the receiver, while the top of the barrel is stamped CHOKE BORED. The number 908 is transcribed from the upper tang behind the hammer. The furniture consists of a smooth wood buttstock and forend that exhibit minor dings, scratches, and finish loss commensurate with field use. The shotgun is fitted with a small brass bead front sight and a brown rubber Uncle Mike’s slip-on recoil pad marked By Michaels of Oregon. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components display a pervasive dark brown patina with significant surface oxidation throughout the receiver and barrel. The original blued finish is heavily thinned and worn. The bore appears relatively dark with some signs of age but remains unobstructed. The smooth wood stock and forend are structurally sound but show extensive handling marks, scratches, and areas of missing finish. The break action and external hammer appear to operate as intended, though the firearm has not been function-tested for firing. The Uncle Mike\'s recoil pad is pliable and well-retained.
