Description
This is a single Harrington & Richardson Model 750 Pioneer bolt action single shot rifle chambered for .22 caliber Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. The firearm features a tapered barrel with a blued finish and a smooth walnut-finished hardwood stock designed with a straight comb and a semi-pistol grip. The receiver is mounted with a vintage Weaver K4 60-B fixed four-power scope featuring a simple crosshair reticle, while the rifle retains its original iron sights consisting of a fixed front blade and a step-adjustable ramp rear sight. Key markings on the barrel include the model and manufacturer designation verbatim as MODEL 750 — PIONEER — 22 CAL. S-L-LR and HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON, INC. GARDNER, MASS. U.S.A. The serial number AU662649 is stamped on the left side of the receiver. The scope is marked WEAVER K4 60-B and EL PASO TEX. U.S.A. The rifle is completed with a black textured composite buttplate secured by two Phillips head screws. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows light thinning and general handling wear, particularly at the muzzle and high edges, with some very light surface oxidation present. The hardwood stock retains much of its original finish but exhibits several minor scratches, scuffs, and small indentations consistent with age and field use. The bore appears bright with well-defined rifling. The bolt action appears to function correctly through its range of motion, though the firearm has not been function tested with live ammunition. The optics on the Weaver scope are clear with a sharp, intact reticle.
