Description
This assortment of thirteen leather firearm holsters and ammunition pouches contains items primarily intended for civilian and sporting use. Verified manufacturer marks include Galco, Nighthawk Custom, R.M. Bachman, Hunter, and Bucheimer. The Galco holster is a light brown molded leather type stamped Phoenix, Arizona, with the model code A14 and a handwritten 1911 notation. A Nighthawk Custom holster is designed for a 1911 Government model and displays the maker eagle logo. The R.M. Bachman holster is a loop-style design from Kalispell, Montana, featuring decorative scalloped floral stamping. Two holsters are identified by Hunter powder horn stamps, one marked 1100 24 and the other + 20. The Bucheimer items include model A-55 and model 157 from Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Three belt-worn ammunition pouches with snap closures are included, two of which bear handwritten caliber markings for 300 Savage and 30-30. The remaining four pieces consist of various field holsters, including flap-style and small tooled leather designs. All items are constructed of stitched and molded leather with metal fasteners and loops.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good condition, showing signs of regular use such as surface scuffing, scratches, and age-related leather darkening. One dark brown holster shows more significant wear with visible cracking to the leather. Handwritten model or caliber notations are present on several items. Snaps, rings, and retaining straps appear functional.
