Description
This lot consists of one box containing 20 rounds of Remington Core-Lokt .45-70 Government caliber centerfire rifle ammunition. These cartridges are loaded with 405-grain soft point (SP) bullets, a classic weight for this caliber intended for hunting and large game. The cartridges feature brass casings with primers that appear unfired. The box is the traditional Remington green and yellow cardboard packaging with a black plastic internal tray. Key markings on the end flap include 45-70 GOVERNMENT, 405 GR. SP R4570G, and the advisory (FOR USE IN ALL RIFLES). The front of the box is marked Remington CORE-LOKT and 20 CENTERFIRE RIFLE CARTRIDGES. The brass casings are headstamped R – P 45-70 GOVT. The packaging also includes multilingual warnings such as Warning: Keep Out of Reach of Children and Cartouches à Percussion Centrale.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition and appears to be live. The brass casings show minor natural oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age and storage. The lead soft point tips of the bullets are largely intact with no significant deformation. The original cardboard box shows moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, edge creasing, and small tears at the tuck-in flaps. The internal black plastic tray is in good condition with all slots intact.
