Description
This lot consists of 295 rounds of .22 caliber rimfire ammunition, primarily chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The assortment includes cartridges with both plain lead round-nose bullets and copper-washed or plated projectiles. The ammunition is housed in two containers including a clear plastic jug and a heavily worn cardboard box with a mottled black-and-white patterned base. Verbatim headstamps identified within the lot include the Remington U, HI-SPEED, and REM marks contained within an octagonal border, as well as CCI cartridges marked with a circled C. The collection represents a variety of load types and production periods consistent with long-term accumulation.
Condition report:
The brass casings exhibit conditions ranging from bright and clean to moderately tarnished with some surface oxidation consistent with age. Some lead projectiles show a light film of white oxidation on the surfaces. The clear plastic container is in functional condition with minor external scuffing. The vintage cardboard box shows significant wear, including heavy fraying at the corners, edge separation, and some material loss to the outer paper layer. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
