Description
This WesternField Model XNH 565-E is a pump-action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge shells with a 2 3/4-inch chamber. The shotgun is equipped with a 28-inch barrel and a fixed front bead sight. The receiver and barrel exhibit a blued finish that is paired with a wooden stock and a ribbed wooden pump slide. The furniture includes a black textured buttplate. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the manufacturer and model designations WesternField and MODEL XNH 565-E, along with the serial number 1409. The barrel markings include PROOF TESTED – 12 GAUGE – 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER, accompanied by proofs that appear to be 96P and a star symbol. The wooden stock displays a visible longitudinal crack at the wrist where it meets the rear of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The original blued finish shows significant wear and thinning, with much of the metal surfaces exhibiting a gray-brown patina. There are patches of surface oxidation and localized pitting evident along the length of the 28-inch barrel. The bore has not been internally inspected. The wooden stock and forend show numerous dings, scratches, and finish loss, with a prominent crack located at the wrist of the stock. The action appears to cycle properly, though the shotgun has not been function-tested or live-fire tested.
