Description
This collection consists of 49 retail-packaged halibut fishing leaders produced by Zak Tackle Mfg. Co. in Tacoma, Washington under the Wally Whale brand. The lot includes two distinct types of leaders: one variety constructed with coiled stainless steel wire and the other with clear monofilament. Each package contains large-gauge metal hooks. The cardboard header cards are printed with a red and blue design featuring a cartoon whale in sunglasses and include the text HALIBUT LEADER, 60 LB, and size 7/0 – 8/0. Select packages are identified with the number 1147 and describe the contents as having stainless wire and adjustable slip hooks for use with a Wally Whale halibut spreader. All leaders remain in their original clear plastic bags with printed cardboard headers.
Condition report:
New old stock (NOS). The lot is in excellent, unused condition with bright, crisp header cards. The plastic packaging shows minor shelf wear and wrinkling typical of age and storage.
