Description
This lot features one Cobra Enterprises of Utah, Inc. Model CB38 single-action, break-open over/under derringer chambered in .38 Special. Designed for concealed carry, this compact handgun is equipped with 2.75-inch barrels featuring a manual extractor and a fixed blade front sight. The pistol is constructed with an alloy frame and steel barrels finished in black, and it is fitted with smooth, reddish-toned laminated wood grips. Safety and functional components include a spur trigger and a cross-bolt safety. Verbatim markings on the firearm include the manufacturer name and location on the left side of the upper barrel, COBRA ENT OF UTAH, INC. SLC UT, U.S.A., and the model and caliber designation on the right side, MODEL CB38 CAL. 38 SPCL. The frame is stamped with the serial number CT062691 on the left side above the trigger. Accompanying the firearm is one black nylon belt holster marked SIDEKICK and two clear acrylic display stands. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The black finish shows moderate wear and significant chipping, most notably at the muzzle, along the barrel ribs, and on the edges of the frame and trigger guard. The steel hammer and hinge screw display light surface oxidation and a developing patina. The laminated wood grips are in good condition with minor handling marks and one small scratch on the left panel. The bores appear mostly bright with light evidence of use. The action opens and locks securely, and the hammer and trigger engagement feel positive. The accompanying nylon holster shows light wear and some dust from storage.
