Description
This Pneu-Dart Inc. Model 171 bolt action dart rifle is chambered for .50 caliber darts and is designed for the remote delivery of medications or immobilization agents. The firearm is constructed on a modified bolt action receiver and features a blued finish on the metal components, including the barrel assembly and the associated pneumatic tubes. The furniture consists of a smooth, one piece wood semi-pistol grip stock fitted with a black textured synthetic buttplate. It is equipped with a Tasco 4x32mm scope with a crosshair reticle and lens covers mounted to the receiver. Verbatim markings on the barrel include PNEU-DART INC. / WILLIAMSPORT PA. / MODEL 171 NO. 718AB / .50 CAL. DART. The receiver is stamped with the serial number 13696951. Included with the rifle is a single detachable box magazine and a small plastic bag containing a broken rubber O-ring, as the firearm will need a new o-ring for the dart chamber to ensure proper function. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows signs of light field use, including minor surface scuffs and several small areas of light oxidation on the barrel and pneumatic tubes. The wood stock is in good condition with minor handling marks and light wear but no structural cracks. The action appears to function correctly through its mechanical cycle, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The Tasco scope features clear optics and a functional reticle. The detachable magazine shows typical finish wear from insertion. A replacement O-ring for the chamber is required for operation.
