Description
This is a Remington Model 11 semi-automatic, recoil-operated shotgun chambered for 12-gauge, 2-3/4 inch or shorter shells. The firearm is equipped with a 30-inch barrel featuring a single bead front sight and a full choke. The receiver and barrel are finished in blued steel, complemented by a checkered walnut pistol grip stock and a matching forend. The receiver displays decorative game bird engravings, with a pheasant in flight on the right side and a duck in flight on the left. Key markings include the bolt stamped MODEL 11 and the left side of the receiver marked Remington above REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. and the serial number 736038. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. followed by BROWNING’S U.S. PATS. 689,283-710,094-730,870-812,326. Additional barrel stamps specify 12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS, a FULL choke designation, and an R.E.P. proof mark within an oval. The shotgun has been fitted with an aftermarket Pachmayr White Line ventilated rubber recoil pad. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in used condition, showing significant field wear consistent with its age. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel exhibits thinning and scattered handling marks, with a small area of surface oxidation noted on the barrel. The bore is bright with some light signs of use. The walnut stock and forend show numerous scratches, dings, and areas of finish loss throughout, though the checkering remains generally well-defined. The recoil-operated action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested. The aftermarket recoil pad is intact but shows age-related wear and accumulated debris.
