Description
This is a Savage Axis bolt action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, configured as a modern sporting and hunting firearm. The rifle features a sporter-profile barrel and receiver with a matte black finish, paired with a black synthetic polymer stock. The stock is equipped with textured gripping surfaces on the forend and pistol grip, an integrated trigger guard, and a ventilated black rubber recoil pad. A detachable box magazine is seated in the underside of the stock. Optic equipment includes a Bushnell 3-9x40mm waterproof riflescope with a duplex reticle, mounted on two-piece bases and fitted with protective lens caps. The left side of the barrel is roll-marked SAVAGE AXIS 308 Win CALIBER followed by SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA 01085 USA and standard safety instructions. The bolt body is engraved with the Savage logo and brand name, and the right side of the receiver bears the serial number K450143. Additional markings on the optic include 3X-9X.40 WATERPROOF and 76-3945 AY CHINA. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition, showing minor surface scuffs and handling marks on the matte black finish of the barrel and receiver. The synthetic stock is well-preserved with minor superficial scratches consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, though the firearm has not been test-fired. The bore was not inspected. The optic lenses appear clear and the external housing shows minimal wear.
