Description
This Savage Model 111 bolt action rifle is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and is configured for hunting and sporting use. The rifle features a tapered barrel and receiver with a blued finish, mounted in a durable black synthetic stock with checkered panels on the grip and forend. It is equipped with a top-tang safety and a bolt body engraved with the manufacturer’s name. For sighting, the rifle is fitted with a Simmons variable-power scope featuring a duplex reticle, mounted on two-piece rings and bases; please note that the original iron sights have been removed. The stock is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad and includes front and rear sling swivel studs for convenience. Key markings on the left side of the barrel specify SAVAGE MODEL 111 CAL. 30-06 SPRG. and SAVAGE ARMS INC. WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A. The receiver displays the serial number G456635 on the left side. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components are in good condition, retaining a high percentage of their original blued finish with minor handling scuffs on the barrel and typical operational wear on the bolt body and handle. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The bolt action appears to function smoothly, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The synthetic stock shows light surface scratches and minor signs of field use but remains structurally sound. Iron sights are absent from the barrel. The Simmons scope optics are clear and the reticle is well-centered.
