Description
This single-shot, break-action, hammer-fired shotgun is equipped with a 32-inch barrel and is likely chambered for 12-gauge shells, although no gauge marking is clearly visible on the exterior. The metal components, including the barrel and receiver, exhibit a heavy brown patina with widespread surface oxidation and light pitting consistent with age. The furniture consists of a smooth wood stock and forend which display significant field wear, characterized by numerous scuffs, dings, and a missing chip at the forward tip of the forend. A molded buttplate features a distinctive relief of a squirrel centered within a textured border. Verbatim markings include LION ARMS CO stamped on the left face of the receiver and the serial number 126074 stamped into the lower tang. The action opens via a top-mounted lever and requires the manual cocking of the external hammer for operation. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show a thick brown patina with significant oxidation and areas of surface rust throughout the barrel and receiver. The bore is dark and shows signs of pitting and heavy use. The wood stock and forend are in fair condition with numerous handling marks, scratches, and a prominent chip at the front of the forend. The action functions mechanically, though the barrel-to-receiver lock-up exhibits some play. We have not function-tested this firearm.
